Pigeon Wishes is a family-run fabric and button business, sourcing distinctive materials for independent designers, sewing businesses and creative retailers.

From sewing to sourcing

It started with a love of fabric.

Pigeon Wishes began around 2015 as Megan's sewing blog, created as a place to share her sewing projects, inspiration and love of beautiful fabric.

In 2017, Megan and Yuhao began sourcing and selling fabrics themselves. What started as a small creative project gradually developed into a business focused on finding interesting textiles that could be difficult to source elsewhere.

Over time, our focus moved increasingly towards sourcing and wholesale — working with independent fabric shops, designers and creative businesses looking for something different.

We're still a small family business.

That means we take care over what we source, how we present it and every order that leaves us. We want our customers to discover fabrics and trims that inspire their own businesses and creative projects.

We focus on fabrics with interesting fibres, handle, drape and performance — from linen and cotton to lyocell, modal, viscose, cupro and acetate.

We look for fabrics, colours and finishes that give independent retailers and designers something different to offer their customers.

More than fabric

Alongside our fabric range, we supply buttons and offer specialist services including bespoke button production and digital fabric printing.

Flexible Wholesale

Built for independent businesses.

We know independent shops and designers need flexibility. Our ordering structure makes it possible to test fabrics in smaller quantities while still making larger orders simple.

1–9 metres Order in 1 metre increments.

10 metres + Order in 10 metre increments: 10m, 20m, 30m and so on.

Quality & responsibility

Better sourcing is an ongoing process.

We pay close attention to fibre choice, fabric quality, construction and the way materials are produced.

Our range includes many fabrics made with modern cellulosic fibres alongside natural fibres such as cotton and linen. We select each fabric based on its individual qualities rather than relying on a single label or certification.

As our range develops, our aim remains simple: source materials that we are happy to use ourselves and proud to supply to our customers.

Small business, long-term relationships.

Many of the businesses we supply are independent shops, designers and makers themselves. We value those relationships and want Pigeon Wishes to be a reliable sourcing partner as their businesses grow.
