A wholesale fabric buttons business established by sewing wife and husband
Pigeonwishes started life in 2015 as a sewing blog. It has now transformed into a business for makers and entrepreneurs.
The founder of the business is Megan and Yuhao.
Megan started sewing in her early twenties and it slowly became her life. From casual evening classes in the basics of sewing to continuing learning about pattern cutting and tailoring she has found that her day will begin and end with sewing on her mind.
YuHao graduated from Wuhan textile university, and working in the hospitality industry, he deeply understand the vital difference to provide the best customer service. That is why we have written “ we take care of every order” in our company value. He is good at finance and excel. However, sometimes he like to repeat his point too much times.
Together we started sourcing and selling fabric directly to customers on Etsy in 2017 however we found the task of sourcing fabric where our hearts lay and wanted to spend our time and resources focused on that since of the business. That together with the thought of helping businesses find their dream fabrics we hatched the idea of becoming a fabric wholesaler. Fabric is the foundation of all garments and as a fabric wholesaler we source and provide fabric of the best quality not usually available to the market.
We have the most comprehensive range of sustainable fabrics to the market, at the same time we offer exclusive deadstock print that shop can’t find anywhere else.

Our restockable lyocell products are created from an innovative vegan-based cellulose fibre process that creates a highly soft and beautiful fibres. Using closed-loop production, 99.8% of the solvents and dyes used in this process are reused. The end product is biodegradable and compostable.

Megan’s sewing….and subsequent fabric buying, started in her twenties as a hobby to relieve stress and bring some creativity and happiness back into her life. Needless to say sewing slowly started taking over her life and the house! She is passionate about the sewing community that has evolved from the creative women sharing their dressmaking and the sewing businesses that have supported them.
YuHao grew up around craft, which was entwined into the everyday life of all the women in his family, unfortunately the craft gene missed him but we won’t hold that against him. His creative outlet is music and he spends his free time playing his vintage classic guitar. His collection of tea, love of efficiency and organisation make him the cornerstone of the business.
The very heart of the business itself is Olimi Duan, our mascot, intern and all around helper. He’s been with us sourcing fabric, working late organising the studio and most importantly stroking fabric to check the quality. He currently enjoys watching the fabric rolling machine do it’s thing!
Valerie Valero (Megan’s mum but likes the title Creative Director better!) a Mental Health Nurse by day and an integral part of the team in her spare time. Never short of ideas and always keeping us on track, she is the reason all the plants in the studio are still alive and thriving.
Brian Robinson (another unpaid family member!) and the best handyman out there! He helped us transform our studio into the cosy pigeonhole it is (pigeon palace on the good days). Our business wouldn’t be here without him.
