Who is Pigeonwishes?

Hello, my name is Megan. Here’s a picture of me on a really good day with some photoshop 😛

I’ve fallen down that dark crafting hole and now all my spare time is pretty much devoted to sewing, buying fabric and the occasional knitting.

I first started sewing because I was a bit disgusted with the way I felt about myself and fashion. I would ALWAYS buy clothes too small so I could ‘diet into them’. Whenever I felt sad I would shop…..and then afterwords I’ld feel sad AND broke. I knew this cycle had to stop and I thought sewing might be the creative outlet I needed. To make me understand the process of being a creator, rather than the mindless consuming I was doing. It has!!

I started this little blog to interact with the sewing community and share my journey with anyone who wants to look.

  2. Hi Megsewing, thanks for following my blog. I don’t know anything about sewing, except that I was pretty bad at it at school. However your style is beautiful. Seems like the perfect diversion therapy for you (-:

    1. Your blog takes me right back to China. I lived in Wuhan for a year and my husband is Chinese and the plan is to move back forever in 4 years. Your blog is such a wonderful resource. So don’t be obliged to follow back!
I’m so jealous of all the fabric markets you must have access to!

      1. Thanks for the compliment on my blog and I’m so glad you’re enjoying it. That’s great that you lived here for a year and now you’re coming back! I hear the Wuhan heat is deadly in the summer though! LOL. Even though, I truly am hopeless at sewing, I’m happily to follow back as I admire your creations, they’re so beautiful. You’ve also given me a great idea to do a post on the fabric markets here, although as I don’t really know what I’m talking about maybe I should leave that to the experts! (-:
